YouTube streaming is a prolific career right now. Not only can you make great money, but you can choose what kind of YouTube streamer you want to be.
To be a celebrity YouTube streamer, you will have to feel comfortable being in front of the camera. For a content streamer, you will need to be a writer and also a video editor. Finally, to be an In Real Life (IRL) streamer, you will want to document your days and have donations set up for yourself.
First you will need to obtain the proper gear. You will need an HD webcam if you want to film yourself talking into your computer screen. A lot of YouTubers will use this for Question and Answer sessions, also called Q & A’s. Next, you will need to get the streaming software. I recommend OBS as a studio. This is a free platform. There are different versions available depending on what platform you are running it from.
OBS is really all you need to make a professional video. It is sponsored by several companies. If you want to put together a quality video, this is the place to start. Let’s say that you are a celebrity YouTuber and you need to edit your videos. This is where many of the professionals will turn to get the job done correctly.
Finally, you will want a gaming PC. A good one might cost a couple of thousand dollars. If you are doing the subset of YouTube videos that deals with video games, that is why this is important. You need to be able to show your following what the game playing experience is like. If you don’t have a gaming PC, then the graphics might be off as well as the speeds. This can cost you huge when it comes to making your videos.
All in all, you can get all the equipment basics down, but you will still have to obtain a following. You might even want to turn to a professional for this. Getting the following is the hardest part, even more so than mastering the technology in some cases. However, if YouTube is your dream, then you need to go for it.
