Apple recently released their commercial on December 2, 2019 featuring a short film entitled “Snowbrawl.” Directed and filmed by David Leitch, this short clip epitomizes the power of technology, all harnessed into a singular handheld device: the iPhone 11 Pro. The iPhone 11 Pro is only the beginning of this new era with technology exceeding further than mans’ expectations had ever anticipated. The iPhone 11 was designed with amazing camera function in mind, being able to shoot 4k Ultra HD videos with a broad range and video stabilization for cinematic movie clips. Having creators in mind, the iPhone 11 Pro has 512 GB of storage space, perfect for shooting, editing, and saving video projects. With a triple lens camera, the ability to shoot photos with quality that compares to those with DSLR cameras. While they can never fully replace manual or mirrorless cameras, the iPhone 11 Pro has proven itself time after time with revolutionizing the hobby of taking photos into becoming an essential part of our everyday lives.
The 6.22 inch screen has an HDR display with fingerprint resistant coating and 2436‑by‑1125-pixel resolution. The screen brightness has evolved from manual adjustments to being able to adjust itself to match your surroundings. When your surroundings get dark, the screen has its own version of night mode which automatically adjusts the brightness for browsing through social media or the internet with low-lit images. Apple also ditched its original plan for 3D touch and switched it out for a Haptic touch, lessening the amount of pressure needed in order for the phone screen to respond. For Generation Z individuals, Haptic Touch allows those to gain the ability to do things faster whether it be liking and commenting on friends’ posts, or snapping a quick selfie at a moment’s notice.
The entire iPhone itself has been adjusted with a more water resistant body, with this model being able to be fully submerged for up to 30 minutes in around 6.6 feet of water. With every model of the iPhone comes enhanced battery life but the Pro version is able to be restored to life, going from 0-100% charge in only the span of an hour. Of course this requires a special charger that comes with the phone when purchasing. However this can not be said for the iPhone 11. Users have also noticed that the Pro version is noticeably heavier than previous iPhone models. This can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on personal preference. Apple also implemented its matte finish exterior that a brushed glass. There are four colors this year included Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Midnight Green.
iPhone Through the Ages

In general, the line of succession with newer models cake additions to size, storage space, and snapping photos. The X and XR are very similar to the Pro in terms of display and decent battery life, with the camera and storage space being the biggest difference. As many can clearly see, the iPhone has gone through a lot of changes, beginning out as a 16 GB almost block-like device in 2007 to 2019 with a 512 GB powerhouse of information and entertainment.
